Overseeing a brand-stretching programme that resulted in Vax being the fastest-growing major floor-care brand in the UK.

Phillipe Stark or Alfred Dunhill, as they both have strong aesthetic and inspirational values.
What would you do if you were not in marketing?
Fashion design, ideally, or quality control for Stella Artois.
Which is the best agency that you have worked with?
Stocks Taylor Benson, Vax's design agency. My team and I have developed a great working relationship with it. I also admire its creativity and ability to cope with sometimes ridiculous deadlines.
What is the best part of your job?
Championing products from conception to launch gives me a sense of enormous job satisfaction.
What is the worst part of your job?
Report-writing and administration
What has been your most embarrassing mistake?
Approving new product packaging that was wrong, which resulted in a rather large rework. Let's just say that lessons have been learned.
What has been your best work-related trip?
Visiting Hong Kong, the Far East and the US are regular business trip destinations. But a market research trip to Moscow was by far the best.

Paul Smith, who has created an international brand, with fresh and innovative product lines across several categories. Brand values have been carried over all ranges with a clear brand proposition.
