Mark Evans, group marketing director, Direct Line

Evans took the top marketing role at the insurer last autumn and was a key member of the team involved in the divestment of Direct Line by Royal Bank of Scotland. Evans has been repositioning the brand portfolio, which includes Direct Line, Green Flag, Churchill and Privilege, carrying out a segmentation exercise so each serves the needs of different customers.

This has involved overhauling the advertising strategy for Direct Line to restate its position as a direct brand. Churchill, meanwhile, has replaced Martin Clunes with Dawn French as the face of the brand.
