Marie Curie launches creative agency hunt

Marie Curie Cancer Care has launched a search for agencies to handle its £1.3 million creative and media accounts. The statutory review is being handled by the AAR.

The charity has approached a number of UK agencies with a brief to raise public awareness of its work, and to help differentiate itself from similar organisations, including Cancer Research and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The incumbents, Maher Bird Associates and Frontline Media, will be repitching.

The Marie Curie Cancer Care head of marketing strategy, Mark Chandler, said: "We've been extremely happy with the work that MBA and Frontline Media have done for us, but we now want to take this opportunity to ensure that all of our communications partners are the most appropriate for our needs going forward."

MBA has held the charity's account for ten years. It secured the business following a four-way pitch that involved Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Ogilvy & Mather and Impact FCA.
