Marie Claire loses its ad director as Reynolds resigns

IPC Media's Marie Claire has parted with its advertising director Jane Reynolds.

Reynolds has left the company suddenly and is believed to have no job to go to.

An IPC spokesperson said that Reynolds had left "by mutual agreement", but rumours about conflict within the division have emerged.

Reynolds joined the group as ad manager from Gruner + Jahr in January 2000. She was made ad director across Marie Claire and the now defunct Marie Claire Health & Beauty in October. She added Woman's Journal to her responsibilities in July 2001, just months before the magazine's closure.

IPC group ad director at Southbank, Clare Dove, is now looking at the present structure of the team and seeking a replacement.

Meanwhile, executive editor of IPC tx, Colin Tough, has
been appointed editor of Web User, which has been vacant since the departure of Jim Lennox last year.
