Mansfield joined the advisory board of the company earlier this year and will now take up the executive role.
He stepped down as chief executive of GCap Media in September 2005 to be replaced by executive chairman Ralph Bernard. He has since been linked with a bid for the Liverpool FM licence advertised by media regulator Ofcom through a partnership between Absolute Radio International and Irish media group Communicorp.
Prior to joining Capital, Mansfield held positions in the commercial departments of Thames Television and Scottish Television. He is also currently a non-executive director of Carphone Warehouse.

Ingenious, which was founded in 1998 by McKenna, former head of the media and entertainment group at Deloitte & Touche and chairman and CEO of the Really Useful Group.
