The two have worked together to create the first mustard macaron. The savoury version of the typically-sweet French meringue-based confection will be the focus of a masterclass at the Maille Boutique on Piccadilly Arcade in the capital on 12 September.
Coq d’Argent’s head chef Damien Rigollet will host the free masterclass from 6.30-8.30pm, talking guests through the flavours that inspire him, his Maille macaron creation and tips on making the perfect macaron.
Guests will also get to try the limited edition treats and get a hands-on experience in macaron decorating and tasting, with a selection to take home at the end.
The partnership is a continuation of Fête de la Gastronomie, which ran from 18 to 31 July, and saw London’s finest restaurants and food producers use Maille products as key ingredients to enhance a variety of sweet and savoury dishes.
