
Miron will join the group on a date still to be announced, reporting to Global Group chief executive, Ashley Tabor.
Miron will work alongside Richard Park, who will also report to Tabor. Park joined the company one year ago and becomes group executive director, with the additional role of director of broadcasting.
Don Thomson remains chief operating officer, radio, with no responsibility for the commercial side of the business.
Following the changes, the new Global Radio board will comprise chairman Charles Allen; founder and group chief executive Ashley Tabor; group executive director and director, broadcasting, Richard Park; Stephen Miron; Don Thomson; and chief financial officer Michael Connole, who was previously financial director.
Earlier this month, Global Radio announced plans to divest several radio stations in the Midlands to appease the OFT's competition concerns over its £375m acquisition of GCap Media.
The stations that Global and GCap must dispose of are GCap's BRMB, Beacon, Mercia and Wyvern in the West Midlands, and Global's Heart 106 in the East Midlands.
