The changes have been introduced by Rosemary Gorman, who has been promoted to group advertisement director following the announcement of previous incumbent John Teal's departure.

The restructure will result in the trading team working more closely with editorial, as well as enhancing customer service.

Adam Gilsenan, currently agency trading manager, has been promoted to the new role of head of agency trading.

Gilsenan's new role will encompass trading across the entire Mail group portfolio, which includes the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, Weekend, You, Live, and Inspire magazines.

Gilsenan will report into Gorman.

In addition, Mark Barry, commercial executive, has been promoted to take over Gilesnan's role as agency trading manager.

Tim Kersen, previously account manager, will take on the role of head of commercial development for The Mail on Sunday within the trading team.

Kersen will be working with Mail on Sunday editor Georgie Greig to drive commercial opportunities at the title.

Inserts will be sold by a specialist trading team headed up by Inserts manager James Brook.

Mail Connected said the restructure did not involve any redundancies. All the changes will come into effect from 3 September.
