The campaign begins across all of Magnet's 160 stores this month, and offers customers the chance to win a new kitchen worth £10,000. Other prizes include merchandise and tickets to the UK premiere of 'Ratatouille', Disney's new rodent-themed animated movie featuring voiceovers from Peter O'Toole and Patton Oswalt.
The retailer said families could only enter children under the age of 12 for the competition, which involves a kitchen-related quiz against other children. The family of the competition winner will receive a £10,000 kitchen from a choice of 30 from Magnet.
'Ratatouille', which was directed by Brad Bird, creator of 'The Incredibles', tells the story of a young rat called Remy who moves to Paris to pursue his dream of becoming a famous chef. It is released in the UK on October 12.
Anjum Ahmed, marketing director at Magnet, said: "At Magnet we want young people to get excited about food and cooking. 'Ratatouille' does this in a fun and entertaining way, so we're confident the whole family will enjoy our new Disney Pixar promotion this autumn."
