Made Up Media to add cricket site

Made Up Media, the digital sports publishing company, will launch a cricket website later this month - the fourth website launch since its inception last year.

Eat Cricket, which goes live on 17 March, will feature news in addition to interviews, videos, user comments and competitions. Edited by Made Up Media's founding director, Gavin Newsham, the site will carry the tagline "The covers are off".

Eat Cricket is the fourth sports site to be launched since the company was created in July 2007. It is also responsible for weekly football e-zine Catflap, rugby site Scrum of the Earth and golf website Ingolfwetrust.com.

Made Up Media is backed by a team that includes Len Sanderson, the former sales director of The Daily Telegraph, and David Shaw, chairman of private equity firm Bridgepoint.
