Tutors on the course will include Caitlin Ryan, the former executive creative director of Karmarama, and Patrick Collister, Google’s head of design and former vice-chairman and executive creative director of Ogilvy & Mather.
It will also be taught by David Harris, the executive creative director of Gyro, and Steve Henry, the founder and former creative director of ad agency HCCL and a co-founder of Decoded.
The part-time course, which runs for five weeks beginning in November, is part-funded by Creative Skillset, the industry skills body for the creative industries, which will make it half-price for students.
It will include practical tasks, such as how to recognise a brilliant idea and how to deliver a persuasive elevator pitch.
Earlier this month Scott Knox, the managing director of the MAA, founded PrideAM, the ad industry’s first leadership group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
