M&M's marks 75 years with soulful 'Candy Man' remake

New music video by Aloe Blacc and Zedd is part of BBDO New York campaign

Mars is celebrating the 75th anniversary of M&M’s later this week, and the confectionary giant has tasked BBDO New York with rolling out a yearlong campaign to mark the milestone. Last night, a 60-second version of a new music video debuted during the Season 10 premiere of NBC’s singing competition "The Voice," inspired by Sammy Davis Jr.’s 1972 hit "The Candy Man." The mashup of decades of M&M’s advertising is sung with soulful sincerity by Aloe Blacc and mixed by EDM musician Zedd. The full 3-minute song is available on iTunes and Spotify, and fans can  online.
