M&C Saatchi folds digital arm into LIDA

Advertising agency M&C Saatchi has folded its eMC Saatchi digital division into its LIDA direct-marketing arm.

M&C Saatchi's digital service offering will now come under the LIDA banner; eMC Saatchi has ceased to exist.

Last week, LIDA launched a new-look web site (www.rover.co.uk) for car manufacturer Rover's pan-European operations. The site cost more than 拢100,000 to produce and will eventually cover 10 territories.

It is aimed at increasing the number of requests for test-drives and brochures and driving traffic into showrooms.

LIDA was set up in January 2000, following the hiring of chief executive Lisa Thomas from Craik Jones and creative director Dave Harris from IMP to set up the division. It now employs 50 people, of which 25 work on the digital side.
