Lycos Thailand, at www.lycosasia.co.th , is a portal dedicated to Thailand with information and services in both Thai and English. Lycos Thailand provides content from local providers as well as some of Lycos Asia's key content providers from other parts of Asia and the world.
Lycos Asia is a $50 million joint venture between Lycos and Singapore Telecom, added services in Indonesia in October, and also serves Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.
One of first few portals to introduce WAP service to Asia, Lycos Asia also announced a strategic alliance with mobile telecommunications company Advanced Info Service (AIS). Lycos Asia also has agreements with major telecommunication companies throughout the region including SingTel Mobile (Singapore), Excelcom (Indonesia), Globe Telecom (Philippines), Orange (Hong Kong) and Taiwan Cellular (Taiwan).
Terra Lycos has presence now in 41 countries.
