Loyalty: Argos signs up for Grass Roots Group scheme

The Grass Roots Group is anticipating an acceleration in uptake of its Pure Card scheme following Argos signing as a redemption partner.

The group has been targeting Argos since the launch of the scheme, because of the retailer's popularity and high street penetration. However, problems with chip and pin had delayed the partnership, said GRG head of marketing communications Nick Wake.

GRG, declined to comment how many Pure Card partners had gone live on the scheme, but said the addition of Argos was a "milestone in the card's development".
