It is a new role at the global ad group, which owns the creative agencies BBDO and DDB, along with TBWA. Omnicom said that Love would focus on creating marketing "advantages" for the company's largest global clients.
Along with his role at TBWA, Love was president and CEO of G1 Worldwide, a joint venture between Japanese ad giant Hakuhodo and TBWA, overseeing the Nissan account. Love is presently based in Tokyo, but will relocate to New York to take up the new job on December 1.

Before joining TBWA in May 2004, Love was vice-chairman at Saatchi & Saatchi, managing the relationship with Procter & Gamble and overseeing the UBS Wealth Management account.
During his 33-year advertising career, in addition to his work with Nissan and P&G, Love has managed numerous senior client relationships, in the US and abroad, for Kraft, Duracell, Masterfoods, General Mills/Pillsbury and Glenmore Distilleries.
