The Victory Lounge has been devised by specialist hospitality, travel and event services company Sportsworld and will take guests through the history of the America’s Cup, charting the technology and human endeavour behind the world’s oldest sporting trophy.
Claire Brand, managing director – event services at Sportsworld, said: "The sport is obviously the core entertainment, however we have used both high and low tech to create a multi layered interactive environment that immerses and entertains guests throughout the day; before, during and after the racing."
Guests will be able to view the sailing from three different viewing platforms, giving unrivalled views of the Land Rover BAR team, skippered by Sir Ben Ainslie, as they attempt to bring the America’s Cup back to the UK and become the first British syndicate to win the world’s oldest trophy. They will be guided through the day by two experienced MCs who are themselves professional sailors.
When the teams aren’t racing, guests will be able to get hands on with the Harken grinder challenge and compete in their own sailing races with miniature boats. The competing teams will be visiting The Victory Lounge throughout the day.
