L'Oreal promotes skincare director to flagship post

L'Oreal UK has named Grita Loebsack as general manager of flagship brand L'Oreal Paris. The move sees her promoted from her current role as international marketing director for skincare.

Loebsack takes over responsibility for the brand from Sophie Gasperment, who was promoted to managing director for the consumer and professional products division in the UK last November (Marketing, November 27, 2003).

L'Oreal Paris, synonymous with the strapline 'Because you're worth it', comprises colour cosmetics, haircare, colourants and skincare products.

The brand generates more than 拢189m in sales, a third of the group's total turnover of 拢566m in the UK.

As general manager for the premium mass-market brand, Loebsack will lead a team of 130 with a brief to continue to build on the growth achieved by Gasperment in her four years in the role.

L'Oreal UK is the fourth largest subsidiary of L'Oreal in Europe and the fifth worldwide.
