L'Oreal looks for UK luxury brands division director

L'Oreal is seeking a managing director to head its luxury products division in the UK following Edgar Huber's promotion to be president of US skincare brand Kiehl's.

Huber's replacement will drive the French cosmetics giant's marketing strategy for Lancome, Helena Rubenstein and the prestige and collections perfumes which include Giorgio Armani and Ralph Lauren. As the luxury products division carries out more NPD than the consumer and the business-to-business divisions, the successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the bulk of product launches.

At last week's financial results, L'Oreal's chief executive Lindsay Owen-Jones highlighted ethnic brand Soft Sheen Carson, luxury label Cacharel and dermatological skin cream La Roche-Posay as "future star brands

which will be top of the list for additional marketing support.

Owen-Jones also identified mens' toiletries and products with a medicinal positioning as key areas to target in the future.
