Lord's to host 3D screening of IPL final

LONDON - Lord's cricket ground is to host a 3D live screening of the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20 competition.

The event, which will take place on Sunday 25 April, is being sponsored by Molson Coors-owned beer brand Cobra, while food is being provided by London-based Indian restaurant Imli.

A total of 500 tickets are available to purchase through the www.lords.org website, with individual tickets at £225 each and a table of eight costing £1,800.

The IPL, now into its third season, features many of the world's best cricketers playing for franchises such as the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings.

In the UK, the IPL is being broadcast on ITV4, while all 60 matches are also being streamed live on YouTube. Brands such as Brylcreem and Lebara Mobile have signed up to sponsor the coverage.
