This Vanity Fair-sponsored party provided the perfect pre-cursor to the festival that from today (8 Oct) will see a number of innovative and exciting events happening throughout the capital.

The event will feature a number of pop-up restuarants in places such as the roof of Selfridges where french chef Pierre Koffmann will be cooking until 31 October, and on the London Eye, which will boast a revolving eaterie with seven different chefs cooking.

Visit London interim CEO Sally Chatterjee said: "The last 18 months have been challenging for the London restaurant sector. Our aim with the festival was to put them back in the spotlight."
