Innes joins from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills with a remit to promote London to visitors, investors and students.

Innes previously held senior positions at the Foreign Office and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). Prior to joining the public sector Innes was a solicitor, both in the City and overseas.
