London Eye's Thames Rooms: closed until July

The rooms,  and were available for hire through the London Eye events team, closed less than two months after launch. This was due to noise issues from building works at the forthcoming Shrek Adventure! London attraction, being developed by Merlin Entertainments and DreamWorks and due to open in County Hall in July.

A spokesperson for the London Eye confirmed that the rooms were not currently being sold as event spaces but added that one room was being used as a bar for London Eye VIP guests.

The spokesperson added that the Shrek attraction does not open until July and stated: "I would imagine building works would continue until then so it is likely the rooms will not reopen prior to that."

Tickets for the Shrek Adventure! London attraction are expected to go on sale this month.
