Ham Yard Hotel
The pitch: Firmdale's eighth London property in a portfolio that includes the Soho Hotel and Charlotte Street Hotel, this latest offering will have an urban village feel with 90 individually designed bedrooms and suites, and 24 residential apartments. It opens in June.
Spaces to hire: Specific capacities were unconfirmed at the time of going to press, but the hotel will feature several spacious private dining and event rooms, including a 176-seat theatre and a rooftop garden with sweeping views across London's skyline.
Don't miss: The 1950s-style bowling alley, which will also be available to hire.

Mondrian London
The pitch: The Tom Dixon-designed hotel, housed in the Sea Containers building on the South Bank of the Thames, opens this summer.
Spaces to hire: There will be six event spaces, covering more than 500sqm, including a 56-seat private screening room. In addition, the riverside Dandelyan Bar and Rooftop Bar will be available to hire for up to 250 guests for a standing reception.
Don't miss: The Agua Spa, which will be able to host events of up to 60 people.

Dorsett Hotel, Shepherd's Bush
The pitch: Built on the site of the former Shepherd's Bush Pavilion overlooking the green, the 317-bedroom hotel has a historic facade with a modern, Chinese-inspired interior and glass roof. It opens this May.
Spaces to hire: The Grade II-listed red-brick building will incorporate a dedicated event suite with space to host up to 80 guests for a reception or 24 for dinner. The on-site restaurant, Pictures, has its own private dining room, which can seat 20 guests for dinner or host up to 60 for a cocktail party.
Don't miss: The interior references the building's heritage as a cinema.

The pitch: This yacht hotel located in Royal Victoria Docks next to Excel London opens this month (April).
Spaces to hire: In addition to 136 bedrooms and suites, the 108-metre-length vessel boasts a variety of spaces in which to entertain guests, spread across five decks. The conference room can hold up to 120 people for a dinner or 140 for a reception. There is also a 50-seat auditorium, a 24-capacity boardroom and a triple-level event space with terraces facing towards Canary Wharf.
Don't miss: The royal suites with their sunken Jacuzzi baths and private terraces.

The pitch: Opening in May, the purpose-built food and drink venue features a kitchen, dining area, deli and shop.
Spaces to hire: The kitchen can accommodate hands-on demonstrations for groups of up to 24 people with its six ovens, eight induction hobs and two commercial fridge freezers. The dining area has space for up to 32 guests for dinner or 60 standing, or the whole venue can be exclusively taken for up to 100 guests. All branding can be hidden and the shelves covered to provide a blank canvas.

Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard
The pitch: This much-anticipated hotel occupies levels 34 to 52 of the 72-storey Shard and opens in May.
Spaces to hire: Three distinct spaces spread across the 34th floor, each facing the river. The largest, Ren, can accommodate up to 140 guests, with the other two spaces, Yi and Li, holding ten and 35 guests respectively. The entire floor can be used for a standing reception for up to 200 people. The hotel's signature restaurant, Ting, and top-level bar, Gong, will also be available for private hire.
