London Capital of Cool: Coming soon - Culture & Arts

Wellcome Collection

The pitch: This free visitor attraction in Euston focuses on the development of medicine through the ages and across cultures. It will reopen this summer following a £17.5m redevelopment.

Spaces to hire: The enhanced event spaces have been masterminded by award-winning architectural practice Wilkinson Eyre. A new spiral staircase will mean guests can access the 200-capacity Medicine Now gallery from the ground floor. In addition, the 154-seat tiered auditorium and four smaller event spaces will be made over with fresh new interiors.

Don't miss: Quirky exhibits such as a 19th-century chastity belt, and a lock of hair said to be King George III's.

Preferred supplier list: Restaurant Associates (catering).
