London bar and restaurant group in web drive

LONDON - London's biggest bar and restaurant group Novus Leisure is aiming to increase advance bookings through a redesign of its Latenightlondon.co.uk website by Aardvark Media.

Novus owns 36 venues in the capital, including Tiger Tiger and Sugar Reef, and Aardvark has also created branded websites for each one.

The sites will help Novus grow its central customer database, which is used by individual venues and the central marketing team. The sites encourage customers to get their friends and colleagues to register.

Aardvark produced different customer profiles such as City PAs and young professionals and built applications to help them.

Chris Johns, commercial director at Aardvark Media, said: "People who organise a night out want tools to help them manage their guest list, check and agree special details with the venue and organise friends.

"Venues can manage online bookings, troubleshoot customer requirements and target repeat business not only with customers but from word of mouth, which matters a lot in this industry."

Novus is planning for online to account for 50% of its forward bookings to be made online and to sell the data to other companies.
