To mark the Uefa Champion’s League Final being held at Wembley Stadium, Logistik Group is overseeing the scheme, which is part of the first International Children’s Forum for sport.
Using the tagline ‘The earth is a ball. Football makes the world go round,’ Logistik has organised a morning event in Westminster featuring talks from football legend Franz Beckenbauer, skills demonstrations by semi-professional footballers and bands representing each of the countries.
One child from each of the eight participating countries will also give a talk about their own culture, before all of the youngsters are taken to Wembley to watch the Champion’s League Final.
Twenty five children were selected from the social inclusion programme Kickz Westminster to take part in the event, while the remaining 575 children were chosen from orphanages and deprived areas across Europe.
The children, aged between ten and 16-years-old, are being flown in from countries including Greece, Serbia, Russia and Bulgaria for Saturday’s launch.
James Wilkins, joint managing director of Logistik, said: ‘"We are utilising our position as a diverse communications agency to not only deliver an outstanding event but also a comprehensive PR campaign to showcase grassroots sport at its very best."
