Lloyds TSB chief leaves following post restructure

Top Lloyds TSB marketer Adam Tuson is to quit the bank following the restructure of marketing initiated by group executive director Eric Daniels.

Tuson, who was marketing communications director, found himself without a role following the shake-up. His departure follows that of group marketing director Ford Ennals, to whom he reported. Ennals quit in March without a job to go to.

As well as Tuson, two other senior marketers, Richard Everett and Mike Bulpitt, have retired. Their responsibilities have been assumed by Steve Gibbons, who becomes head of group marketing. Reporting to director of group marketing and internet banking Jayne Almond, Gibbons' brief covers database marketing and relations with third-party suppliers.

Daniels' restructure placed product rather than brand at the heart of the retail bank's marketing strategy. The bank's centralised customer management unit, which oversaw marketing across all brands, was disbanded. It was replaced by a structure which saw marketing roles report into individual product divisions.
