Lloyd James launches office in North of England

LONDON - Direct marketing services firm Lloyd James is expanding with the launch of an office in Manchester to help it meet the needs of its clients in the North of England and to increase its business in the region.

Lloyd James North Group will be headed up by Sam Parkes, who joined the company last year as list broking consultant from LifeCycle Marketing.

Parkes will be responsible for promoting all of the services the company offers and for overseeing client services in the North of England.

Lynn Stevens, managing director of Lloyd James, said: "This is an exciting move for Lloyd James and one which has been planned for some time. Our business has never been regionally biased, our sales team operates nationally and we already have many clients in the North of England and Scotland."

The opening of the northern office follows an aggressive expansion plan over recent years, which has seen Lloyd James grow from a list broking and management firm to providing media management services, data processing, litho printing, laser printing and direct mail/fulfilment.

The company has also rebranded and converted to a public limited company.

Lloyd James, group chairman, said: "My ultimate aim in setting up the original Lloyd James company was that we become the largest independent DM service provider in the UK. A new northern office, our rebranding and conversion to PLC status this month is all part of the long-term plan."
