The South Park Lawn, Pavilion, Stratford Waterfront, and South Park Plaza will host events ranging from seasonal food markets to awards ceremonies, once the park fully re-opens in 2014.
Dennis Hone, chief executive of the LLDC, said: "These spaces are designed to work together to provide a variety of events and attractions from seasonal fairs and markets to concerts, awards ceremonies and conferences. We are looking for world class operators who can deliver the variety, quality and originality that we expect for a site so loved by the British public. The park’s future is secure; we are on track to deliver a top visitor destination and a great legacy for east London."
The 5,000sqm South Park Lawn is an open green space designed for concerts, outdoor shows, festivals and cultural events.
The two-storey Pavilion will offer a year round indoor event facility, and could be used to provide hospitality for the full programme of events planned for the park.
Stratford Waterfront will cover 20,000sqm and can host seasonal fairs and attraction. In the winter months these fairs will be expected to expand out into Plaza and South Park Lawn.
The South Park Plaza is made up of a series of ‘outdoor rooms’. Each is themed and provides a variety of opportunities for casual use as well as organised activities. The LLDC is looking for an operator to bring this space to life with something for local residents and international tourists alike.
