The quirky legal drama, which is set to feature Michael J Fox and Rupert Everett as guest stars, features Spader and Shatner, who won Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor Emmy awards respectively, as two unlikely kindred spirits among the team of high-priced litigators at Crane, Poole and Schmidt.
The firm's other attorneys include Tara Wilson, played by British actress Rhona Mitra who starred opposite Kevin Spacey in 'The Life of David Gale'.
The show, the brain child of 'Ally McBeal' and 'LA Law' creator David E Kelly, has been described by The Daily Telegraph as having impeccable "pedigree", with Living having done well to snap up a quality import from under the noses of Channel 4 and Five.
The Times said 'Boston Legal' has "inspired casting" and the Mail on Sunday said it was "one of the best programmes out there".
