Little Chef nets Harvester boss

Little Chef has poached Joanne Blake, brand manager at rival Harvester Restaurants, to be its chief marketer following the departure of Anne Elliott.

Elliott joined the restaurant chain last summer on a consultancy basis but has quit to refocus on her own consultancy business.

Little Chef has also promoted marketing manager Mark Owen to head of brand development. Owen and Blake will report directly to chief executive Tim Scoble.

Little Chef is looking to reposition itself as a relaxed dining experience rather than a functional restaurant (Marketing, 6 May). It has also introduced healthier food options to the menus of 14 of its 360 restaurants.

The staff reshuffle precedes Little Chef's search for an ad agency. The incumbent is Dig for Fire.
