Listerine has released an app that causes a phone to vibrate when it detects a smile.

J Walter Thompson designed and built Listerine Smile Detector, which uses facial-recognition technology to help the blind and partially sighted know when someone is smiling at them. The app, which ties with Listerine’s "the power of a smile" position, is supported by a film shot by Lucy Walker through Pulse Films and stars four blind people who talk about what smiles mean to them. The campaign was created by Will Helm and Will Brookwell.
