Lippincott Mercer adds new partners to London office

LONDON - Design and brand strategy consultancy Lippincott Mercer has appointed former Mercer Management Consulting principal Ewan Jones and 20/20 creative partner Simon Stacey as partners at the firm.

In his new role at Lippincott Mercer, Jones will be responsible for leading brand and customer strategy projects for clients in the retail, financial services and telecommunications sectors. At Mercer Management Consulting his responsibilities included brand, format strategy and store investment strategy across a variety of retail and consumer sectors.

Stacey, formerly a creative partner at 20/20, will lead Lippincott's design team in Europe having previously created the award-winning redesign of the Liberty department store and the development of innovative, customer-focused, interactive retail environments for Orange.

Previously Stacey was head of interiors at Peter Leonard Associates where he was responsible for leading branded environment projects for British Airways, Printemps, WH Smith, Waterstone's and Virgin.

Lippincott's retail design projects include the award-winning dealership concept for Nissan Motors, award-winning branch design for Citizens Bank, signage programme and branch interiors for Citibank, store concepts for Save-On Foods, in-store graphics and merchandising for Borders and new restaurant concepts for McDonald's.

New York City-based Lippincott, which is part of the Marsh & McLennan Companies, recently published a book called 'Sense: The Art and Science of Creating Lasting Brands'. The two-volume package is a compilation of the best of the firm's periodical Sense, launched a half century ago to examine the burgeoning arenas of naming, research, design and brand strategy.
