Liberty of London to get its own store on Sloane Street

LONDON - Liberty of London is to open its first standalone store, on Sloane Street in London.

Liberty of London is the luxury goods brand that draws inspiration from the famous department store on Great Marlborough Street. However, it is a separately owned brand.

The new Sloane Street store will only sell Liberty of London products, including leather accessories, scarves, swimwear, jewellery and men's collections.

It will cover two floors in a store that has been luxuriously decked out by the architects Pierre Beucler and Jean-Christophe Poggioli, of Architects Associe, along with Liberty of London creative director Tamara Salman.

Salman helped found the brand in 2005, which is inspired by designs from the famous Liberty print range.

The new store will be used as the blueprint for concept stores throughout the world. Liberty of London is stocked in more than 100 shops including Le Bon Marche in Paris and Jeffrey in New York City.
