Levi's raids youth agency to fill top UK marketing job

Levi-Strauss has poached Scott Morrison from Slice, its youth PR agency, to be its marketing manager for the UK and Ireland.

He replaces Suzanne Gallacher, who was promoted to associate brand manager of Girls Red Tab, based in Brussels, earlier this year (Marketing, February 20), and will report to marketing director for Northern Europe Rachel Johnson.

His responsibilities include developing and implementing UK marketing strategy, managing UK media strategy and overseeing communications, events, sponsorships and product placement. Ads and promotions manager Melanie Lowe will report to him.

At Slice, he worked on brands including Microsoft Xbox, G-Shock, Sony Ericsson, as well as Levi's. Prior to that, he worked at ad agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and Wieden & Kennedy.

Morrison joins as Levi's prepares to celebrate its 150th anniversary.

It will launch two limited-edition jeans brands: Laser Finish, which depicts symbols of Americana such as a dollar bill, and Vintage Fit, inspired by the 1947 501s.
