- Premier League English football club Leeds United has revealed its plans to launch a dedicated club television station.
Leeds Sporting, the club's parent company, said talks were under way with a number of media companies with a view to setting up a Leeds United Channel.
However, unlike other proposed club football channels, Leeds said it planned to evolve the channel beyond football to cover sports and entertainment across the Yorkshire county where the club is based.
Chris Akers, Leeds Sporting chairman, said: "The board is continuing to discuss with interested media groups the launch of a dedicated Leeds United TV channel but intends to retain control of this potentially very lucrative asset."
