Leagas Delaney has increased its standing on the BBC roster by
winning its first assignment for BBC Worldwide, the organisation’s
commercial arm.
BBC Worldwide has briefed Leagas Delaney to create launch advertising
for two Teletubbies videos. The client is understood to be boosting its
marketing efforts following the arrival of Rupert Gavin as chief
executive in April.
Leagas Delaney’s first work, backed by a pounds 1 million-plus media
spend, will appear on terrestrial and satellite TV in mid-October in the
run-up to Christmas.
The agency won the business after a competitive pitch against a number
of rival BBC roster agencies. It already works with the BBC on corporate
advertising and its digital business, which it won in a pitch last
year.
Justin Bairamian, a Leagas Delaney account director, said: ’We are
delighted to be working with another facet of the BBC.’
