LBM licenses Business Contact File to MarketingFile.com

LONDON - LBM Data has signed a licensing agreement with MarketingFile that will see its UK Business Contact File offered online through the MarketingFile.com website.

The UK Business Contact File contains mailing and telephone contact details for businesses at more than 1.5m trading locations and has more than 200,000 decision maker email addresses.

Apart from the usual business size, type and location selection options, businesses can also be selected based upon their likely spend in the areas of IT, telecoms, energy, vehicles, corporate travel and office supplies. In what was an industry first, the models used to predict these targeting selections have been developed in collaboration with the Manchester Business School.

Mike Housley, managing director of LBM Data, said: "LBM is delighted to announce this partnership with MarketingFile. This new sales channel will further add to the excellent growth that we are achieving in the data market. With an excellent launch offer we are hoping to make a big impact on the MarketingFile users."

The agreement allows MarketingFile's many thousands of small business customers to enter their precise targeting selections against the LBM file, obtain an instant count of the number of prospects matching their criteria and then purchase and immediately download their list for use in direct mail, telemarketing or email campaigns.

There are no minimum quantity restrictions and smaller businesses and local area marketers can buy the data in the smaller volumes they often need.

Until the end of February 2005, this data will be available on the MarketingFile.com website for 12 months with multiple use at the same price as single use, just 10p a name and address plus 4p a telephone number and 15p an email address.

David Lightning, MarketingFile managing director, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer LBM's excellent business data on MarketingFile.com. The predictive targeting models across the 6 key sectors and the availability of more than 200,000 email addresses make this database absolutely unique. The cost-savings associated with the launch offer will appeal to any business considering B2B direct marketing in 2005."
