LBi has been awarded a multimillion-pound, pan-European brief, which will run over three years. The agency will begin work on the first parts of the campaign straight away. Goodtechnology previously handled Canon's digital creative and strategy in the UK, as well as developing online advertising for the consumer imaging business, but it declined to repitch.
The brief encompasses all of Canon's products, including cameras, printers and other office equipment. The initial focus of the project will be to redevelop its web presence.
"To create a world-class web experience for our customers, it is crucial we get the thinking and the approach right," James Leipnik, the chief of corporate communication and corporate relations, said.
"The service offerings LBi presented us with met our requirements for one agency to manage the first phases of this important project."
Canon will retain cdptravissully as its creative agency, and BJK&E Media will carry on handling media and MEC Interaction digital media.
