Lawson tipped to replace Allan as MediaCom chief

LONDON - Nick Lawson has been tipped for the top job at MediaCom should Stephen Allan move across to Group M as widely expected.

Allan was reported by ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 on September 16 as being set to move to Group M as UK chief executive, but this has not yet been confirmed by WPP.

At the same time, it is expected that Kelly Clark, MindShare's UK chief executive, will take up the role of Group M European chief executive.

Allan remains chief executive of MediaCom, with Lawson one of at least three internal candidates in line to succeed him.

Lawson is currently joint managing director along with Jane Ratcliffe. The third internal candidate in the running is MediaCom Direct managing director David Kyffin.

MediaCom would not comment on the situation.

Allan's new job will give him responsibility for MediaCom, MindShare and Mediaedge:cia.
