The event, now its sixth year, began last Saturday (11 October) and will run again on 18 and 25 October. Each experience is themed, with this year’s line-up consisting of ‘Discover Hotels’, ‘Discover East London’ and ‘Discover America’.
Venues participating in the activation include 8 Hoxton Square, Merchants Tavern and The Lockhart. Laurent-Perrier Champagne will be served at each lunch event.
The festival, which was founded in 2009 by Simon Davis of event company Swiftsure Projects, will run throughout the capital on 8-27 October. Event sponsor American Express will host its Food with Friends event, where chefs such as Jason Atherton, Simon Rogan and Angela Hartnett will prepare lunch dishes inspired by their friends.
As part of the festival, venue Bafta 195 Piccadilly will host a three-course meal curated by photographer Rankin on Friday (17 October). The Eat Film event, sponsored by Peroni, Parma Ham and Parmigiano Reggiano, will also consist of a screening of Cinema Paradiso and a speech from Amanda Berry, chief executive of Bafta.
Davis said: "London Restaurant Festival continues to deliver an incredible line-up of gastronomic delights and unforgettable events across the capital, and this year’s festival promises to be the strongest yet. With something to please every taste-bud and all budgets, avoid disappointment by booking your tickets now."
