Latest ASDA commercial explains how it keeps prices low

LONDON - ASDA is launching a new TV ad campaign in response to what it says is growing cynicism among shoppers that question how it manages to sell its products at such low prices.

The ad, created by Fallon, shows ASDA staff turning off light bulbs and recycling, which it claims saves them millions of pounds a year and makes it the supermarket with the lowest operating costs. The ad features a new strapline: ‘Saving your money every day'.

The Wal-Mart subsidiary has committed to reducing the price of 200 health and beauty products and 100 frozen lines to £1 for the next 12 months, which it say is funded by its ‘war on waste'.
