Lateral promotes creative director to board

LONDON - Web consultancy Lateral has appointed former Leo Burnett European creative director Su Sareen to its board of directors.

Sareen, who has worked on accounts including the relaunch of hair-care product Brylcreem and the European Max Factor brand, has also worked for ad giant Ogilvy and the BBC.

She joined Lateral in April 2000 as creative director.

Separately, the agency has hired Gerard Myers as aftercare manager to set up a department to manage and develop client web sites on a long-term basis.

Myers has held various positions with Mute Records, web agency Bluewave -- where he was responsible for clients including ExxonMobil and The National Grid -- and Wax New Media, where he worked with Channel 5.
