Channel 4’s new digital entertainment channel, E4, will be carried on SkyDigital when it launches on Thursday, after all.
A breakthrough in deadlocked discussions between the two broadcasters was finally achieved three days before E4’s launch on January 18.
The new deal means E4 will be available in more than seven million multichannel homes. It will go out on Sky as part of the basic Family Package. The new service also goes out on NTL, ONdigital and Telewest.
Sky One is scheduling aggressively against the new service by screening the controversial US show Temptation Island on E4’s launch night.
