Lacoste's crocodile swapped with endangered species for BETC Paris campaign

It’s arguably one of the world’s most recognizable logos. But the Lacoste crocodile has been removed after 85 years gracing the brand’s polos. It was temporarily swapped with a number of endangered animals for a new campaign by agency BETC Paris which worked with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). A total of 1,775 polo shirts were launched during the brand’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week. Ten threatened species, including the Javan rhino, Burmese roofed turtle and kakapo, shared the limelight. The number of polos produced corresponds to the estimated number of specimens left in the world.
