LONDON (Brand Republic) – The Los Angeles Times is to axe 125 editorial and 45 advertising jobs from its two-year-old local news operations, Our Times.
The newspaper ran 14 community sections which were launched before the Tribune Company acquired the paper in June as part of a $6.5bn acquisition of the title’s owner, Times Mirror.
The LA Times, under a new editor, is concentrating on regional, national and international stories rather than local issues. (Reuters)
