- Car spares chain Kwik-Fit, one of the biggest advertising accounts in Scotland, has awarded Faulds in Edinburgh its £10 million ($16.2 million) full-service advertising business following a four way competitive pitch.
The all-Scottish pitch saw Faulds fight off competition from the Leith Agency, WAM/McCanns and the incumbent of seven years, the Morgan Partnership.
The loss of Kwik Fit is a devastating blow for the Morgan Partnership. The account represents more than half of its billings, which according to MMS stood at £19.09 million in 1998.
Media planning and buying also moves into Faulds out of CIA Medianetwork Scotland.
The appointment of a new agency comes just a week after Kwik Fit, which is based in Edinburgh, was acquired by the Ford Motor Company in a £1 billion ($1.61 billion) deal.
