KPMG sets sights on final-year students with UK-wide tour

Youth marketer Virgin D3 is to create a brand experience for accounting company KPMG aimed at recruiting university students in their final year.

The event runs from October to early November with the tagline "All bright minds welcome". It will tour 21 universities across the UK in a bid to recruit students from wider backgrounds.

Four pods will be set up giving students the opportunity to talk to KPMG staff as well as give advice on interview techniques and writing a CV.

The pods will also incorporate screens and a bar.

"KPMG is moving towards live events in this area because it needs to get students engaged," said Virgin D3 events manager Antonia Voss. "Students are more sophisticated and have higher expectations and this event should allow them to leave with something useful for their careers."

Virgin D3 was formerly called Virgin Student. The agency rebranded last month to reflect its activity aimed at a wider youth appeal.
