Konica Minolta seeks agency for £1m B2B campaign

LONDON - The business arm of camera firm Konica Minolta is on the hunt for an advertising agency to handle a 拢1m business-to-business campaign to raise awareness of the brand among UK firms.

The move follows the merger of Japanese firms Konica Corporation and Minolta last year, with Konica Minolta Business Solutions now having the third largest share of the digital copier market in the UK. This is the first major advertising push since the merger.

John Howard, Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK head of marketing, said: "We now want to raise customer awareness of the brand and the substantial benefits the merger presents for customers. We are seeking a partner in the advertising and communications arena to design and implement an appropriate campaign beginning this autumn."

He added that he was looking to hear from agencies as soon as possible and hoped to choose a firm within weeks. The campaign is scheduled to run from September until March next year.

As well as digital copiers, the firm, which is headquartered in Basildon, also manufactures printers.
